Operating Areas

Our services are grouped into distinct operating areas. This simplified map shows you which parts of the midlands are in which area.

Some of our Travel Cards are only available for travel in particular areas. Click on the region you wish to travel to view a list of available cards for that region.

Area A: Black Country

Includes all parts of the Black Country and as far north as Cannock and Hednesford; south, to Halesowen and Stourbridge; and west as far as Wolverhampton and Perton.

Major parts of Area A include:

  • West Bromwich
  • Pheasey
  • Walsall
  • Bloxwich
  • Wolverhampton

Area A borders with Area B at: Halesowen / Quinton; Oldbury / Smethwich; West Bromwich / Handsworth; Pheasey / Great Barr;

Area B: Birmingham

Includes central Birmingham and surrounding areas as far north as Sutton Coldfield and south to Longbridge, Maypole and Dorridge. The eastern boundary of Area B overlaps Area C around the A452, Meriden.

  • Erdington
  • Yardley
  • Acocks Green
  • Birmingham International Airport
  • Solihull
  • Castle Bromwich
  • Sutton Coldfield
  • Smethwick
  • Handsworth
  • Great Barr

Area C: Coventry

Includes Coventry and surrounding areas as far north as Bedworth and Nuneaton; and along a southern corridor to Kenilworth and Leamington Spa.

Major parts of Area C include:

  • Coventry City Centre
  • Binley
  • Finham
  • Earlsdon
  • Canley
  • Longford
  • Bedworth
  • Meriden
  • Tile Hill
  • Hearsall Common
  • Leamington Spa
  • Kenilworth
